We come from complementary backgrounds: Joanne studied Architecture and Tatiana studied Marketing. As the brand evolved, we each developed our skills further, which progressively helped shape the brand’s DNA. Tatiana got trained in Fashion Design and developed research in Vintage Fashion, and Joanne in Sustainable Design and Digital Fabrication.

This allows us to approach fashion from a cross-disciplinary perspective, constantly searching for new explorations, and passionately marrying tradition with innovation, handcraft with industry, waste with luxury, playfulness with responsibility.

VANINA is a social enterprise that spontaneously grew out of a common passion between childhood friends Tatiana Fayad and Joanne Hayek. It all started with a jewellery line in 2007, and evolved to become a lifestyle label, presenting seasonal collections of jewellery, accessories, and apparel; all proudly handcrafted in Lebanon, and distributed internationally. Beneath their light and playful glamour, the Vanina products hide a passionately engaged activism that aims to promote local community development through the valorization of craftsmanship and environmental awareness. With its motto 'never fully dressed without a smile', Vanina celebrates feminity by promoting a lifestyle of effortless yet generous beauty. One that values detailed and experimental craftsmanship, through delicate and bold fashion products inspired by nature and the arts.
