Body Geometry is a research-based project at the intersection of jewelry and sculpture, presented through 27 works: three small-scale sculptures, twenty-two jewelry pieces, and one large-scale installations. All the works are derived from three foundational forms of classical Islamic geometry.
However, in contrast to the traditional philosophical logic of Islamic geometry, which aims to move from multiplicity toward unity, this project deliberately reverses that trajectory. It moves from unity toward multiplicity: multiplicity of forms, multiplicity of interpretations, and multiplicity of spatial experiences. Here, geometry is no longer treated as a divine or final order, but as a visual language open to transformation, reinterpretation, and conceptual expansion. The jewelry and sculptures within the collection exist in dialogue, with moments of tension and resonance, circulating between corporeality and architecture.
This particular sculpture is one of the three small-scale works in the collection. It begins with a geometric foundation, but then undergoes a conscious process of rupture, fragmentation, and spatial reassembly. The original form is not preserved as a static or sacred order, but rather emerges as a structure open to intervention, one that simultaneously invites the gaze and unsettles it.
Here, geometry no longer symbolizes truth; it becomes a visual tool for questioning perception itself. The viewer’s gaze cannot remain fixed, each shift in position reveals new volumes, new shadows, and new spatial contradictions. This instability is part of the work’s internal logic: a refusal of fixed visual authority, and an invitation to a dynamic, participatory encounter between the work and the observer.
